Saturday March 27th, 2010

Miami Glitch and Glitch.FM bring you one of the only Glitch Hop parties of WMC. We've been putting tons of work on this and we've finally had everything come together for this one night!

We have amazingly talented master producers and performers.
Almost all of us will be doing live sets on controllers and showing off all the glitchy bass sounds we can create on the fly.

This event is FREE with RSVP!

Send names to SlipperyWMC@gmail.com for FREE entry.
$15 at the door if name NOT on list. Dubstep party going on downstairs so even if close friend please send names, we won't be around the door.

Slippery goes down Saturday March 27th from 10PM to 5AM at Club Cinema (UPSTAIRS) located at 637 Washington Avenue Miami Beach.

There is a beautiful patio upstairs and plenty of lounge area.
We will have drink specials all night long.

Downstairs there will be a special Dubstep party going down as well.

An-ten-nae Presents Acid Crunk Vol. 2 (Muti Music)

An-ten-nae presents Acid Crunk Vol. 2 is an essential component to the musical lives of those who love West Coast sound. What West Coast sound exactly IS, no one can really say- but listen to this album and you can practically hear the crushing waves of the Pacific Ocean, the strange sizzle of city streets, and the hyped-up yet laid back ethos that pervades the culture in this slice of the world.

Acid Crunk Vol. 2 never relies on an accelerated tempo to deliver its energy or to make the dance floor move, yet accomplishes both feats with flying colors. It has a bass backbone made of steel from which it draws its strength, allowing for exploratory extremities and a head of feral fire. The compilation album features some of the most talented producers in the world today in the realm of dubstep, glitch hop, experimental hip hop and all of their mutant cousins. It is a cocktail of styles- a Long Island Iced Tea, actually, with each component just as strong and kick-ass as the next. When you finish it, your brain will be buzzing and your limbs will be loose. And you will want another round.

Ben Samples - Intercontinental Ballistic Lazer EP

ESSENTIAL DOWNLOAD! 9 / 10 ****
I am so honored and stoked to write a feature on Ben Samples on glitch.fm. In my opinion, Samples is the best young gun on the glitch hop scene at the moment and an unrivalled producer of heavy bombs which make my head swing like crazy to the hammer beat, lazer synths and ultra-crunky bassline. I have been his devout fan since the early days of Glitch Hop Forum. He is churning tracks with a speed of automated factory assembly line. Alas in his case, the quantity comes with quality. I am really impressed with the way his skills develop, you would not believe listening to his crispy sounding tunes that he has seriously started producing glitch hop less than a year ago!! In case of Sample’s style, industrial and robotic associations seem natural, he pitches and distorts synths and basslines to the max creating vibrant, powerful and banging ‘metallic’ sound, yet never forgets about good melody line and proper build-up.

The Next Level hosted by Form B Music (comprised of The Avatara VII23, Jumba Fri, and Nugs) made it out to the Sonic Bloom Festival in Colorado over the summer, and came back with a treasure trove of interviews and station IDs. The crew deserves a round of cold ones - that's for sure. Be sure to catch their show every Sunday evening from 8-10pm Pacific, 10pm-12am Central, 1am-3am Eastern (Monday), 4am-6am GMT (Monday), 5pm-7pm New Zealand (Monday).

The first interview that they have released so far, is with Boulder Colorado up'n'comer Ben Samples, who's already developed an international cult-following with his free releases that sport his own (ultra crunk) take on the glitch-hop genre:
